My Recent Photography Life At Christmas Lunch

This article covers the second Christmas I spent on a well-known Christmas holiday. I took my camera, a couple of memory cards and a load of film and headed off for a day out. My aim was to try and capture my Christmas holiday in a simple way so that my subsequent photographs would stand out and not become overwhelmed by the volume of activity. For the most part, I managed to achieve this!

Over the two days I visited a few places. On the first day I went to see a display at an exhibition centre and tried to take a couple of pictures and document the atmosphere and feel of the place. On the second day I visited a local fish and chip shop. Again, I tried to take some pictures but I didn’t really try to get a good angle or get creative with the image settings as I knew I wouldn’t get any great shots. But, overall, I think I managed to capture some good images which I will share below. Additional info found at beastgripnation.

20 Tips for the Most Memorable Christmas Photography

As my final stop on my two day trip I decided to try and catch a dolphin. I knew this would be difficult because the water around here is usually deep and quite shallow. So I decided to walk out into the water a couple of miles out and try and get a shot of a dolphin up close. Unfortunately I wasn’t very successful and they appeared to stay further away than I expected.

On the third day I decided to take my camera and explore a little further. I wanted to take a shot of a Koala Bear but I didn’t want to get too close as they normally stay quite a distance away. So I decided to take some binoculars and set them up on the beach opposite the fish store. I figured I would probably be able to get a decent shot without them being in the picture. Plus, I thought that if they were they would probably be looking right at me so I tried to stay as far as possible from them.

After setting up my equipment and taking a look at the sea I noticed that there was a lot of rubbish lying on the beach. It was lying on the top of the weed beds, which are usually very dry and not slippery when wet. I went back to try and take a shot of some fish but it seemed that the fish were much too large and moved in different directions. It was pretty frustrating trying to take a picture of fish moving in all directions.

Overall, my Christmas Lunch was a success. I was lucky enough to take lots of fantastic photographs and I also learnt some great things about the sport of fishing. On my two-day trip I also got to explore the local area which is always a bonus. Although, in truth, it wasn’t the best lunch I’ve been to. I’m happy to return to this location next time I go on vacation.
